Ensuring your controller settings are perfect is an important part of any first-person shooter, so we’ve put together the best aiming aid, type of aiming curve, aiming aid settings, and more for Black Ops Cold War Season 6.
Controller Setting
- Horizontal knob sensitivity: 6
- Sensitivity of the vertical knob: 6
- ADS stick sensitivity (low magnification): 1,00
- ADS stick sensitivity (high zoom): 1,00
- Button Position: Default
- Flipped LT / RT with LB / RB: If you play with claw grip or want a shorter button press time, you should use Flipped
- Type of sight response curve: Standard
- Invert Vertical View: Disabled
- Controller Vibration: Disabled
Sensitivity is all up to you, but 6 is one of the most common values. You should go to the custom game, which we discuss below, to find the best value for you.
Gameplay Setting
- Aiming Aid: On
- Aim Assist Mode: Standard
- ADS Aim Assist: Enabled (campaign and zombie only)
- Airborne Cloak Behavior: Manual
- Grounded Mantle Behavior: On Second Press
- Sighting behavior: Hold
- Sustained Sight Behavior: Hold
- Armor Behavior: Apply All
- Attack Vehicle Control Mode: Based on Target
Mantle Behavior is an important setting to adjust. Trying to fire a jump shot near cover will cause your Operator to jump out to the surface, rendering you defenseless in the middle of combat. If you set only Mantle on the second press, you will be free to shoot in the jump, and then double-tap jump when you want to put on the mantle.

- Maximum right joystick input threshold: 100
- Auto Sprint: Off
- Auto Sprint: Enabled
- Sprint cancels reloading: Disabled
- Automatic parachute deployment: Enabled
- Equipment Behavior: HoldInteraction/Reboot Behavior: Press to Reload
Auto Sprint Enabled will allow you to move around the map faster, but you’ll need to get used to only moving the stick slightly when you’re unseen.
