Strategies for Overcoming Del Lago in the Remake of Resident Evil 4
This guide will provide tips on how to take on and overcome the enemy known as Del Lago in the remake of Resident Evil 4.
When Leon encounters Del Lago in the Resident Evil 4 remake, he won’t be able to rely on his firearms or any restorative items to sustain him. The key to success lies in keeping the boat’s vitality meter at a safe level. If it falls to zero, the protagonist will be dragged down into the lake and eaten.
For Leon to harm Del Lago, he must use the harpoons which come with his boat. There is an unlimited supply of harpoons, so Leon can feel free to toss as many as he likes. As Del Lago is towing him, Leon should fire off as many harpoons as possible into the creature’s back, for this will diminish a large section of its HP.
As Del Lago pulls them along, gamers must be mindful of any obstructions in their way. If they are not cautious, they will crash into them and their boat will take damage, resulting in an abrupt end to the game.
When Leon’s boat is no longer being towed around by Del Lago, he will have the option to aim his harpoon directly into the creature’s maw. Not only would this inflict great harm to the monster, but it would also keep it from damaging the vessel.
The player will only have a few moments to throw two harpoons at Del Lago, so they should aim for its mouth before launching. During the attack, the beast may sink beneath the water, making it difficult to spot. To find it again, the player should turn the camera around while listening to its roars until the creature rises to the surface.
If the player does not attack Del Lago while it is attempting to lunge, the creature will latch onto the boat. In this case, the player will have to follow the instructions on the screen to escape.
Once Del Lago takes on enough damage, a cutscene will be triggered to play. After it’s finished, Leon will be allowed to navigate the Lake.
